I’m scrapping again!

After a long break from scrapping, I’m coming back. Real life got in the way and there was no time or mojo. Now it has settled down a bit and I’m getting the bug back.

I was recently asked to take some photos for a senior in high school. I was lucky enough to have the chance to capture this moment in her life. She has a wonderful, creative personality and was such fun to photograph. Here are just a few fun shots we captured.

We drew a crowd when we were doing that last shot. Can’t imagine why. Isn’t this something you see everyday?

I am a terrible white space scrapper, but a while back I came across a page in ACOT’s gallery by Tracy, ICanHasCherryOnTop. I was really drawn to it, so I had to lift it. I used Traci Reed’s kit It Boy.

I received this in an email today. It is very relevant to me right now. I think I’ll keep it out and reread it every couple of days.

Positive Goals

What you passionately and purposefully seek to have, you will have. What you passionately and purposefully seek to avoid, you will also have.

When you intensely focus your energy upon anything, that thing grows more real and influential in your life. That holds true whether it is something you strongly desire or something you strongly detest.

If you put your effort into fighting against something, you end up giving more strength and consequence to whatever you’re fighting against. Instead,find a desirable alternative and put your energy into working toward that alternative.

What you hold most firmly and consistently in your mind, you create and become. So keep your thoughts focused on moving toward the desirable,enjoyable and fulfilling things.

The most effective way to move away from what you don’t want is to actively move toward what you do want. Rather than defining your life by what you oppose, challenge yourself to develop positive goals that you can enthusiastically embrace and follow.

Your life naturally and persistently flows in the direction where your attention is focused. So choose to focus on the best you can imagine.

My first hybrid project

Andrew needed a present to give his teacher on the last day of school. We wanted something a little different. So he picked out the papers and said he wanted to use his photo and one of his teacher’s on two of the flowers we decided to make. Here’s how it turned out.

LOL, doesn’t he make a cute flower? I hope she liked it. We had a lot of fun making it. A big thanks to Amber for providing the chipboard flowers.
